• What should I bring and how should I pack?
It's good to pack light and try not to bring more than you really need: bathing suits, walk shorts, jeans, shirts, hats, sandals, hiking shoes, sunscreen, camera, bathroom / shower amenities, books and videos etc. to enjoy on downtime. Front Street Lahaina, Kihei and Paia Town are loaded with fun shops and bars, so you may want some walking around money for souvenirs, gifts and things of that nature.

Airfare is NOT included in the package price of your trip. However, we work with the best travel agents in Hawaii and would be happy to assist you in booking your airfare.
• Do I need to bring my own surfboard?
You do not need to bring your own board unless you want to. We provide state of the art boards, shaped by Maui's best, and pair each guest with the right board for the day. Brian and his coaching staff will encourage you to try various boards during your stay.
• Do I need prior experience to attend your surf clinic?
No, If you are a first time surfer you are more than welcome to attend. We accommodate all levels and Maui offers the perfect variety of surf.
• What is the 'big wave season' on Maui?
The Winter months (November - March) produce the largest waves, due to strong storm systems off the North Pacific region. Surf heights this time of year can reach upward of 40 feet. Not to worry however, even during these large swells there are always 'wrap around' spots that remain manageable for our surf camp guests. It is during these "High Surf Advisory" swells that it really pays to have a knowledgeable, local guide.
• How are the waves on Maui during the Summer?
Summertime (April - October) generally brings lots of fun sized surf generated by south swells off of New Zealand. Summer south swells can get big, but more often surf usually ranges from 2 to 6 feet. Most of the summertime surf spots break on sand covered reefs very close to shore. There are some summer spots that require a bit longer of a paddle to reach, but if there's a solid swell you'll agree the long rides are well worth the effort.
• Will I need to rent a car?
We will have a pre-arranged rental car waiting for you to pick up at the airport. You will need to have a valid drivers license and credit card to pick up your car.
